grant from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency has paved the way for a new
facility that will allow area developmentally and physically disabled
individuals a chance for an independent-living environment. Verdura Apartments
Complex is making the challenge achievable for many who would like to live in a
new fully accessible apartment complex. Doorways are extra wide with doorbells
and peepholes lowered. Every unit is built in accordance with the Fair Housing
Accessibility Guidelines, the Universal Design Codes and is Energy Star rated
standards.
