Mission of the Greenville Housing Authority


The GHA’s overall immediate mission is to continue to provide for nearly
2,000 public housing residents, and 1,600 Section 8 participants within
Greenville’s city limits.
The mission of the Greenville Housing Authority is:

stable, quality affordable housing
for low and moderate income persons;

¬Deliver
these services with integrity and mutual accountability;

¬To
create living environments which serve as catalysts for the
transformation from dependency to economic self-sufficiency.

- A primary goal of the Authority is to provide housing for low-income
households while improving housing and economic opportunities for
residents and maintaining high standards of property management, fiscal
management and service delivery.
Coordination with city efforts and collaborations with other public and
private entities is constantly emphasized.
