"Some succeed because they are destine to, most succeed because they are determined"

The Greenville Housing Authority's Cultural & Recreation Center has developed and implemented a variety of programs aimed at enhancing the opportunities for public housing residents to prosper economically and socially. These programs include Crime Prevention Intervention, Education /Business Development and Athletic Programs.
The main focus of the majority of our programs are our children, who are considered at risk, because of the exposure of illegal drug/activities, and lack of parental supervision. "We don't want to see the children of public housing today having the need to be in public housing when they reach adulthood." Therefore, we stress education and alternative activities as an a avenue for achieving our goal.
