How to Apply

  • Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8): The Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List is currently closed. Please check our company website for updates on when the waiting lists will open.

 

  • Public Housing Program: The Public Housing 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom Waiting List is closed effective November 1, 2023. 
  • UPDATE:  The Housing Authority of the City of Greenville will stop accepting applications for Public Housing 5-bedroom units effective November 15, 2024, until further notice.  HACG will not accept applications for 5-bedroom units received after 11:59 PM on November 14, 2024. All applications received before November 15th will be processed according to the HACG's approved policies. See "Asset Management Properties" for a list of preferences.
  • UPDATE:  The Housing Authority of the City of Greenville will stop accepting applications for Public Housing 6-bedroom units effective February 14, 2025, until further notice.  HACG will not accept applications for 6-bedroom units received after 11:59 PM on February 14, 2025. All applications received before February 14th will be processed according to the HACG's approved policies. See "Asset Management Properties" for a list of preferences.

The public will be notified when the closed Waiting Lists open via our company website, www.ghanc.net,Facebook page, and local media outlets including the Daily Reflector, the Daily Drum, WNCT, WITN, and WCTI news channels.
